Week 5 Athlete of the Week: Blue Caplinger

Here is the Louisburg Sports Zone Athlete of the Week for week five of the winter sports season, sponsored by Peoples Services, LLC.

BLUE CAPLINGER, WRESTLING, JUNIOR

Louisburg High School junior Blue Caplinger had a big week on the wrestling mat last week. Caplinger has won nine straight matches that included two tournament championships (Louisburg and Topeka) and an upset win over the No. 3-ranked wrestler in Class 6A from Gardner-Edgerton. Caplinger is currently ranked No. 6 in Class 4A at 160 pounds.

The athlete of the week award is announced every Wednesday morning during the winter season and the winner is selected by Louisburg Sports Zone with the help of nominations from coaches.
