Week 2 Athlete of the Week: Madisen Simpson

MADISEN SIMPSON, SENIOR, BASKETBALL

Louisburg High School senior Madisen Simpson put together a career-best performance Monday in the Lady Cats’ win over Ottawa. Simpson scored a career-high 28 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead Louisburg to a 55-40 victory and its third straight win. Last week, Simpson also scored a team-high 14 points in the Lady Cats’ 43-23 win over Eudora.

The athlete of the week winner will be announced every Wednesday morning throughout the winter season. The winner is selected by Louisburg Sports Zone with the help of nominations from coaches.
