Week 7 Athlete of the Week: Ty Martin

Louisburg High School senior Ty Martin has had a big season for the Wildcat golf team and it got even better Monday when he qualified for the state tournament during the regional at Fort Scott. Martin shot a 92 to finish seventh overall and earn his second straight trip to state. Last week, Martin finished runner-up at the Anderson County Invitational with a 77 and has medaled in every tournament this season.

The athlete of the week honor will be announced every Wednesday morning throughout the spring season. The winner is selected by Louisburg Sports Zone with the help of nominations from coaches.
