Week 8 Athlete of the Week: Aidan Meyer

Here is the Louisburg Sports Zone Athlete of the Week for week eight of the spring sports season, sponsored by Dr. Laura’s Orthodontics.

AIDAN MEYER, SENIOR, TRACK AND FIELD

Louisburg senior Aidan Meyer has had a strong season for the Wildcat track and field team and that continued last Thursday at the Frontier League Invitational in Bonner Springs. Meyer earned the league title in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.94 seconds. Just a week prior, Meyer ran a time of 49.49 to win the 400 at the Red Bud Classic in Wellsville.

Along with his time in the 400 dash, Meyer has also played big roles as a leg on the Louisburg 4×100- and 4×400-meter relays. The 4×400 relay also has one of the top times in the state this season.

The athlete of the week award is announced every Wednesday morning during the spring season and the winner is selected by Louisburg Sports Zone with the help of nominations from coaches.
