What to Watch for August 31-September 4

Welcome to the inaugural article for Louisburg Sports Zone!

We have our first string of articles this week, previewing each team for the upcoming season. Soccer, volleyball, cross country, and football all start their seasons this week. 

“What to Watch for” will be an article released at the beginning of the week that showcases all of the contests Louisburg is participating in for the week. Times and locations will be provided in this article. 

Monday, August 31st: No contests

Tuesday, September 1st: Louisburg begins their fall sports season with the boy’s soccer team playing at Basehor-Linwood, starting at 6:15 PM. 

Volleyball also kicks off their season on the road, against Baldwin, with the first set beginning at 6:30 PM.

Wednesday, September 2nd: No contests

Thursday, September 3rd: Cross country boys and girls have their first meet, away at Anderson County at Garnett Country Club. Running will begin at 3:15 PM. 

Boy’s soccer will travel to Independence for their second game of the season starting at 6 PM. 

Volleyball will have their first home match against Santa Fe Trail scheduled to start at 7 PM.

Friday, September 4th: The football team will begin their season at home against Tonganoxie.. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 PM at Wildcat Stadium.
