Week 9 Athlete of the Week: Cade Holtzen

Here is the Louisburg Sports Zone Athlete of the Week for week nine of the winter sports season, sponsored by Prime Accounting Solutions.

CADE HOLTZEN, WRESTLING, SOPHOMORE

Louisburg sophomore Cade Holtzen won his first Frontier League championship after he pinned the No. 2 ranked wrestler in Class 5A, Bonner Springs’ Cassius Vanderpool, in the third period of the finals of the league tournament Saturday to improve his record to 28-3 on the season. Holtzen is currently ranked No. 6 in Class 4A. 

The athlete of the week award is announced every Wednesday morning during the winter season and the winner is selected by Louisburg Sports Zone with the help of nominations from coaches.
