Week 10 Athlete of the Week: Madilyn Melton

Here is the Louisburg Sports Zone Athlete of the Week for week ten of the winter sports season, sponsored by Louisburg Family Dental.

MADILYN MELTON, JUNIOR, GIRLS BASKETBALL

Louisburg junior Madilyn Melton had a big week for the Lady Cat basketball team as she led the team in scoring against Metro Academy and Paola last week. Melton had a team-high 16 points and six rebounds in a loss to Paola and earlier in the week scored 18 points in a win over Metro Academy. She currently leads the team in scoring as she averages 13 points a game.

The athlete of the week award is announced every Wednesday morning during the winter season and the winner is selected by Louisburg Sports Zone with the help of nominations from coaches.
